Become an MCA member

Members of the Council are spread throughout the United Kingdom. They include psychiatrists, physicians, surgeons, general practitioners, nurses, and health care workers from many other disciplines.

When first established the MCA was confined to registered medical practitioners but in 1986 Associate Membership was introduced; this includes both non-medical and institutional membership.

Benefits of Membership

  1. Closer links with colleagues involved in treating patients with alcohol problems
  2. Closer links when necessary to discuss colleagues who may themselves have alcohol problems
  3. Attendance at the Annual General Meeting and meetings of an educative nature
  4. A free copy of the MCA’s bulletin Alcoholis

To become a member of the MCA download and complete the application for membership (below) and send it, with the appropriate payment, to the Council's office.
